Welcome to Week 11 of school! Here are some upcoming events for the week.
We will have parent teacher conferences on October 21st from 4:00pm-6:00pm. Please email your student’s teachers to schedule a conference either in-person or virtually.
Good Morning Smyrna Middle Parents and Students,
I do have some additional announcements that were left from the Sunday Reminder. Parents, we need your help. Please complete the parent communication survey so that we can better communicate with you. Paper surveys will be sent with students on Tuesday, or you can access the survey by clicking here. Please complete the online survey or return the paper copy by Friday, October 15.
Panther Parent Check-In Zoom will be Thursday, October 14th at 5:30. Since we are starting a new nine-weeks, join our live Zoom to ask questions as well get a refresher on parent resources and information to support students here at Smyrna Middle. The zoom link will be on the Parent Engagement Tab.
Welcome back to Week 10 of school! We are expecting smooth sailing moving into the holidays. I do want to make parents aware of the TikTok challenge for the month of October being slap a teacher on the behind. I believe we all understand both how ridiculous and serious these challenges are. I thank you for your continued support in talking to your students about appropriate behavior in school.

Happy Sunday Smyrna Middle Parents and Students! It’s Week 7 of school! Our 8th graders have Pre-ACT testing Monday morning. This test is used for placement in upper-level courses in high school. If students are interested in taking more advanced courses in high school, this test is used to determine acceptance into those courses. Click here for a few updates and reminders for the week

Even though all students are eligible for free breakfast and lunch for this school year, there are other reasons to complete the Free/Reduced Lunch Application. Those benefits are discounted TV and Internet, waived field trip fees, waived fees for graduation, waived fees for ACT/SAT, free/reduced athletic fees, and additional community resources such as Project 10 Million (T-Mobile).

It’s Week 5 of school! Our 8th graders have several testing dates in September. Please make sure your students are present for those assessments as many are used for placement in high school classes. Click here a few updates and reminders for the week.
It’s Week 4 of school! We had some challenges last week as the county experienced 3 days without internet service; however, we will catch students up and get things updated into Skyward. Below are a few updates and reminders for the week.
