Welcome
Welcome to my page! I am excited about this school year. This is my 5th year working with 8th graders in math. I am passionate about preparing our students for high school, teaching self advocacy, and preparing their minds and skills to be productive citizens one day.
Here is some interesting facts about me:
- I am a wife and mom of two teenagers.
- I love any activities that involves the water-saltwater or freshwater. It doesn't matter! As a kid, I thought I should of been a mermaid.
- I LOVE Harry Potter! It is even my classroom theme. (Secret: If I'm sick, you can bet I have a Harry Potter movie playing in the background as I recover.)
- Reading was hard for me as a child. Because it was hard, I avoided it. I finally began to enjoy reading as a young adult and fell in love! Now, I'm even part of a book club. Who would of thought?
- Reading was hard, but Math was a beast for me as a child which is why I love teaching math! All minds are different and everyone learns in different ways. I enjoy exploring and providing different ways of teaching for ALL students. Why? Because there is multiple ways students can learn!
