- Our first full day of school is Monday, August 8th. School begins at 8:00 am and ends at 3:00 pm. Students must be in their Panther Time class prior to 8:00 am.
- ALL returning Rutherford County students must complete STUDENT DATA VERIFICATION in Skyward. Please email Mrs. Glenda Natareno at [email protected] with any questions you may have.
- All sixth-grade students will report to the left side of the gym, all seventh-grade students will report to the right side of the gym, and all eighth-grade students will report to the auditorium when arriving to school.
- All car riders will be dropped off and picked up at the back of the school. If you need to know what bus your student rides, please click here.
- The county is offering laptop insurance for $20 this school year. Please check our SMS website for more information.
- Please be aware of the new RCS electronic device policy. Please check our SMS website for more information.
- We encourage you to follow the link below to complete the free and reduced lunch form as the state decided to halt the free lunch program. This will ensure that all students that are eligible to receive free and reduced lunch will. Please click here for more information. There are videos and instructions on our Smyrna Middle school website for completing the forms.
- On Monday 8/22/22 any 7th grade students who have not provided proof of a Tdap booster vaccine will be sent home unless they have an appointment card for an appointment on or before 8/29/22. You can also upload this proof of immunization to Skyward. *Regardless of epidemic or pandemic status, religious exemptions related to vaccinations for COVID-19 or any variants will be accepted by RCS in compliance with state law, if RCS ever required such a vaccine.
