Students have been tasked with making rockets from straws and balloons. The goal is to be the team that gets the most mass to the height of the ceiling. The kids had a lot of fun with this project. Next up is to calculate their rocket's velocity, acceleration, and the amount of force needed to move their rockets' masses to the ceiling. The lab document can be found in the past work folder to the right at the bottom of the red section.

Students designed, tested, and presented their maglev cars in STEM class. I am very happy with some of their designs! Hopefully words like aerodynamics, magnetism, force, and friction make more sense now.
