Happy Sunday Smyrna Middle Parents and Students,

Here is a bit of information for the week.

Parents, please join us on Tuesday, April 2, 2024 from 10:00-11:00 in the SMS Library for our Spring Planning Meeting. We need your ideas and suggestions as we start to plan out a wonderful 2024-25 school year at SMS. Lite refreshments and a child zone will be provided. Please email [email protected] if you are able to attend or call our SMS office at 615-904-3845.

Parent Tip: Allowing your student’s phone to charge in your bedroom an hour before his or her bedtime will allow your student to calm his or her mind before bedtime to ensure that your student is getting the proper amount of rest and not staying up on his or her device. This also allows you to monitor who is contacting your child at late hours.

We are in the approval process of our SMS Family Compact and Parent Involvement Police, and we need your help. Students will be receiving a copy of the proposed compact and policy from their ELA teacher on Monday, March 18. Please review, choose to approve/not approve, sign, and return by Friday, March 22, 2024. If you would prefer to complete this online, please click on the link below. Drop by the library during Parent/Teacher Conferences on March 18, 2024 to receive some free resources to support vocabulary and reading fluency/comprehension. We hope to see you there!

Please join us on April 10^th for our first annual Career Expo. Parents, students, and community members will learn about the various jobs in Smyrna and Murfreesboro along with opportunities to learn how to build a career. Click here for more information.
